The PST02-1C detector offers 3 different functions: opening detection , temperature sensor and light sensor . It consists of two parts: a sensor and a magnet . They are designed to be placed on a door or window with the magnet attached to the opening portion and the sensor on the fixed part .
The opening of the door or window magnet sensor depart , which will trigger the detector will send a signal Z -Wave alarm if the system is armed ( this signal can be exploited by a siren or a Automation box for example ) .
The sensor can also be used for automatic control of lighting , depending on the brightness level. For example , the sensor sends a signal to the Z- Wave switch to turn on the light when the door opens and the room is dark .
The detector also ascend the brightness and temperature, or in case of significant change , and whenever opening / closing is detected.
Z -Wave controller ( remote dongle ... ) is required to integrate the detector in your network if you already have an existing network.
